Static electricity : a real danger for your sensitive

products !

Electrostatic discharge can damage your electronic parts . Without

protection , this can limit their lifespan or they can even become totally

unusable . To alleviate this danger , we offer you a range of antistatic

packaging : metallised bags , bubble wraps and bags and foam blocks .

We offer two types of antistatic protection :

Metallic packaging ( see p . 122 ) :

Recognisable by their black - silver colour , metallised shielding packaging

insulates products from any electrical voltage . They form a Faraday cage

around your products , providing them with optimum protection and are

recommended for products such as components , memory cards ,

semiconductors and micro - processors .

Antistatic packaging ( see p . 122 - 123 ) :

Antistatic packaging dissipates electrostatic charges and are

almost non - conductive . Pink in colour , they are easily

differentiated from other packaging and are recommended for

wiring , fasteners and all components other than semiconductors .
