Created in 2006 by Danièle Marcovici , the RAJA - Danièle Marcovici

Foundation has established itself as a key player in the advance -

ment of women ’ s rights . As France ' s the first foundation dedicated

to women ’ s rights , it has spearheaded the development of feminist

philanthropy .

The Foundation ’ s aim is to promote the autonomy , dignity

and rights of women in France and around the world , by

supporting community projects led by local organisations .

Its strategic priorities are :

• Defending rights and tackling violence against women and girls .

• Education and social action .

• Training and employment support .

• Women ’ s environmental initiatives .

The Foundation has three missions :

• Providing operational support to organisations that work directly

with women and the communities concerned .

• Mobilising the Group ' s 4 , 700 employees .

• Raising awareness of women ’ s rights and equality among the

general public and political and institutional decision - makers , in

order to effect change in laws , practices and attitudes .

I have always believed that

the role of a company is not only

economic but also social and

societal . For this reason , and

thanks to the economic success

of RAJA , I decided to create the

RAJA - Danièle Marcovici

Created in 2013 the RAJA Women s Awards recognise the associations

supported by the Foundation and raise the profile of their work to promote

women s rights

On 1 December 2026 a special RAJA Women s Awards ceremony will

celebrate the Foundation s 20 years of action
