Packaging tape is used to seal and secure your packages , and to
help protect and preserve the contents inside during storage and
transportation . Adhesive tape is made up of two main elements :
a backing ( film or paper ) , and an adhesive mass ( glue ) . The quality
of the packaging tape depends on the type and thickness of the
film used . The thickness of the film , shown in microns
( 1 / 1000 mm ) , plays a crucial role in the strength and durability
of the tape used .
